It survived!

I hate to write about poopy on my blog. I try to avoid it at all costs. However, it was an integral part of an oh-so-heart-stopping-moment that occurred last night. Atlee decided to make a surprise for mommy in the bath tub. After freaking out and getting it in the toilet and flushing, I grabbed a towel off the counter. The exact moment of the downward swirling was the same moment that there was a gold flash toward the bottom... my Aggie ring was dunked for the 2nd (and less-exciting) time. I thought I might throw up. Or cry. Or have a heart attack. You just cannot recreate the perfect wear and aging and dirt on an Aggie ring. So a replacement was just not going to be the same. I was sad for my ring's quick descent to its septic grave. But alas--there was hope! My "knight in shining armor" miraculously retrieved my golden nugget from just below the edge of the abyss. And now, my Aggie ring is safely still residing on my finger. So Atlee--no more surprises in the bathtub!

Oh my goodness!! I'm so glad your hubby was able to retrieve your ring. Atlee is just precious and I love looking at all your pictures on your blog! Julie introduced me to it after you took pictures of Sydney. You do great work!
