6 years and a bridal show...

Today, Jason and I have been married for 6 wonderful years. Of course, not every day has been roses, but most are pretty great. It's kind of scary how much you become like someone after just 6 years. Wonder what will happen in 56.... Anyway, you know someone loves you when he spends a full weekend setting up, taking care of, and taking down a booth at a bridal show. Couldn't have done it without his muscle (and his oh-so-exact opinions and preferences). It's good to have a man with an opinion. Thank you, Mr. Experto. I love you!

And thank you, Vicki, for chasing after my rambunctious boy! I know he loved it. He mooooed all the way home...

And thank you, Gina, for helping me talk to all those people! You were a great help! Lord knows I need a little help in that area.

And thanks to the folks in my pictures. Lots of people got to see your lovely faces today!

And thank you to all the brides (and grooms and moms and sisters and dads and uncles and aunts) who stopped by my booth to take a look! I loved meeting you all and can't wait to hear from you! On a sidenote, Jason and I went to see Gran Torino last night. Clint Eastwood was absolutely amazing! I don't think I've ever seen a movie that evoked that much emotion in me. Most of you may know that my emotions usually flow freely. But this was more. I was almost boo-hooing at the end. So much that I woke up with puffy eyes. It was suspenseful in a non-action kind of way, and touching on so many levels. It was happy, sad, scary. I know nothing of gang violence or living in the ghetto, and I am thankful. Parts of this movie made my worries seem less than trivial. But it was also touching about how people can help one another and overcome differences. And sometimes people know strangers better than their own families. It's just a movie you can't get out of your head. There were so many levels to it. That's enough for one blog--I am certainly no movie critic. On a much lighter note, "Bride Wars" also brought tears to my eyes but in a happy kind of way. Romantic comedies are definitely a lower-stress option for all of you over-thinkers out there (like me).
